Express-AMU7 payload at ISS-Reshetnev

Payload module for the new Express-AMU7 telecommunications satellite has arrived at ISS-Reshetnev facilities in Zheleznogorsk.

Express-AMU7’s payload module was assembled at the European company Thales Alenia Space. TAS installed the necessary repeater equipment on the payload module structure provided by ISS-Reshetnev Company.

ISS-Reshetnev specialists are currently doing incoming inspection of the Express-AMU7 payload module. Following that it will be readied for further integration with the satellite’s platform.

Express-AMU7 is being built by ISS-Reshetnev Company to replenish and update Russia’s orbital fleet of telecommunication satellites. Its payload is fitted with C-, Ku- and L-band transponders.
