ISS-Reshetnev Company holds Council on electronic components
Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company has held the annual Council on electronic components on May 27-28.
As a prime contractor for the majority of Russia’s applied satellites, ISS-Reshetnev Company held the Council on electronic components in Dubna, Moscow region. The council meetings were hosted by the Closed joint stock company “Industrial Technologies” – one of the Russian providers of electronic components that effectively works in compliance with the state-run import substitution programs.
The primary goal of the Council is to work out a consistent approach to the provision of high-quality electronic components that are used in onboard electronic equipment. Aerospace specialists believe that this effort will help increase quality and reliability of satellites and other space technology products.
This year’s edition of the Council was chaired by Yuriy Maximov, deputy General Director for quality at ISS-Reshetnev Company and brought together about 100 representatives of Russian manufacturers and suppliers of electronic components for space applications, institutions which are involved in the design and development of onboard equipment, and satellite customers.
One of the key talking points at the Council was connected with the realization of import substitution and import independence strategies and policies in the field of electronic components production.
