ISS-Reshetnev joins the Manufacturing Systems Association
ISS-Reshetnev Company has been chosen by the Russian Manufacturing Systems Association as a pilot platform for its production development project.
The Manufacturing Systems Association was established by Russia’s leading state corporations with the view to help large industrial companies optimize their businesses and improve the efficiency. The project is supposed to promote the development of general standards for manufacturing systems and to set up an integrated base of best practices applied in lean manufacturing.
ISS-Reshetnev together with another Russian company which is also part of the ROSCOSMOS State Corporation, have been opted to be a pilot platform for the Association’s project. To qualify for this project companies have to have representative samples of their manufacturing systems. Through participation in the Association’s project ISS-Reshetnev Company in its’ turn will learn more about other companies’ best practices and proven experience in this field.
Within the framework of this project, ISS-Reshetnev has received delegates from the ROSATOM State Corporation and the United Rocket and Space Corporation. Demonstrated by ISS-Reshetnev, the manufacturing systems samples impressed the guests who said that they would think about adopting these solutions at some of the ROSATOM companies.
ISS-Reshetnev Company is currently introducing lean technologies into its departments dedicated to the manufacture of devices, waveguides and part blanks. Moreover, the company is now aiming to implement digital manufacturing solutions in its mechanical area and CNC machines monitoring operations.
Cutting-edge manufacturing systems and optimization can help reduce by more than half time needed to perform work and keep material costs down: and as a result significantly increase the overall efficiency of satellite building projects.
