ISS-Reshetnev: 2020 year results
On December 30, 2020 ISS-Reshetnev Company held a meeting of its Scientific and Technical Council.
The event is held annually on the last days of December to sum up the results of the outgoing year. The participants of this year’s meeting that was chaired by Yuriy Vygonskiy, acting general director of ISS-Reshetnev Company, reviewed the results of the company's activities in 2020 and outlined the tasks for the future.
In 2020 eleven satellites designed and built by ISS-Reshetnev Company have been launched into various orbits. Today the company is currently working on more than 40 new satellites for various customers, including foreign ones. Under these contracts, ISS-Reshetnev Company is upgrading the space segment of the Global Navigation Satellite System GLONASS, Personal Satellite Communication System Gonets-D1M, and the Multifunctional Space Data-Relay System Loutch.
In 2020 ISS-Reshetnev Company has received 90 patents and certificates protecting its inventions, industrial designs, utility models and computer programs.
For their scientific and technical achievements one ISS-Reshetnev employee has received the state prize and seven others have been awarded the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation.
Once again the company representatives demonstrated their skill excellence and broad professional expertise at the ROSCOSMOS State Corporation Professional Skills Championship, where ISS-Reshetnev employees won the Winner's Cup for the third time in a row.
ISS-Reshetnev-built satellites (105 currently in orbits) still make up two-thirds of the Russian national orbital fleet.
